While many people say it's not about the "wins and losses", we truly believe this. Matt's teams didn't win as many games as other teams did, but we were able to see a significant level of improvement with our son as well as with other members of the team from the beginning of the summer until the end of the fall. The instruction and support provided by the coaches facilitated the team's continued growth.
Matt has brought his overall game of baseball to a new level. Playing for the CT Storm has eased Matt's transition from the sixty foot Little League field to the ninety foot field that he will be playing on for middle school. For Matt's Little League career he either played in the infield or was a catcher and he always preferred the infield. Recently he stated that he now wants to play as a catcher because now that he has learned the correct way to catch he enjoys this position much more. Matt was able to receive a professional level of instruction to improve his game that he would not have been able to receive had he not been involved with the Storm team.
In addition to increasing his skills on the field, Matt has also made friends with boys from surrounding towns that he may not have had the opportunity to meet. He looks forward to playing against them while playing for his school teams.
