| STRIKE ZONE OWNER MARK STEVENS HIRED BY FORDHAM UNIVERSITY
Strike Zone owner Mark Stevens was recently hired to be the hitting coach at Division I Fordham University for the 2009 season. Coach Stevens, a respected college baseball coach who specializes in hitting, will be joining the Rams starting this fall. Coach Stevens opened The Strike Zone in March of 2000 in Clinton, CT. From 2003-2004 he was an assistant coach at the University of Bridgeport before becoming the head coach of Old Saybrook High School in the spring of 2005. Stevens led Old Saybrook to an 18-5 overall record and the shoreline and state tournaments. In 2006 he was hired by Bill Holowaty to be the hitting coach at 4 time National Champion Eastern CT State University. Once again Stevens found success at ECSU as the team finished with an astounding .326 batting average, won the NCAA Regional Tournament and advanced to the College World Series in Grande Chute, Wisconsin. In 2008 he was hired by Division I Iona College. Stevens has also served as an assistant coach in the prestigious New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) for five years. He has coached the Middletown Giants in 2003, and the Manchester Silkworms from 2004-2006, and again in 2008. To date he has worked with over 30 players who have gone on to sign professional contracts. He now looks to continue his success at Fordham University. The Rams compete in the Division I Atlantic 10 Conference. |

| My son (now 10 years old) is a big fan of baseball. He would love to play all year round, but in New England that's not possible so I signed him up for the Winter Program at The Strike Zone last year. One and a half hours a week with a professional staff kept him in the baseball groove. When spring came his glove did not need dusting off, his bat was on the ball, it was great stuff. Through The Strike Zone I was introduced to the CT Storm Baseball teams. My son was ready for tryouts, which followed the Winter Program. Two days of intense tryouts, then he got the call he made the 11U team. What a great experience, not only did he get exceptional training from professional coaches, but he was busy practicing both outside and indoors at The Strike Zone, as well as playing scheduled games and tournaments. The bonus was the end of the season tournament in Myrtle Beach. I can't say enough about the dedicated staff and their committment to the boys and baseball. I have noticed the improvement in my son's baseball skills and his confidence level is high. Both the Winter Program and Connecticut Storm are AWESOME. Many thanks to Chris and Kyle!

| My son Tim played for the CT Storm Spring and Fall 2007 seasons. The CT Storm philosophy of dedication, hard work and discipline has paid off immensely for my son. I saw a nice change in his playing ability during the spring season with the Storm. He improved on his level of ability tremendously. His base running and hitting skills improved dramatically and his defensive skills were finely tuned. The coaching staff works great with each player on all aspects of the game. Also, the dedication, hard work, and respect that is taught carries over into Tim's life outside of baseball too! I noticed when watching our town little league games that players who played for the Storm were so much further ahead of the players who only played town little league baseball. Playing for the Storm is great for players who want to improve their game, take their game to another level, and play a more competitive game. The tournaments at the end of the season are always a lot of fun!

| My son has participated in both the Winter Workouts and on the CT Storm team. Both activities offered by The Strike Zone have been a positive experience. My son has learned the fundamentals of baseball and my husband and I have noticed a significant improvement in his skills since he began receiving instruction at this facility. The coaching staff at The Strike Zone is well qualified and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge. They provide positive feedback and reinforcement during workouts and practices. Besides offering their knowledge of baseball, the coaches have instilled in my child the importance of responsibility, respect, perseverance, and teamwork. The coaches have been wonderful role models and have always conducted themselves in a professional way. I highly recommend The Strike Zone. The benefits that a child will receive go way beyond baseball instruction.
